Outgoing HTTP Calls

See native HTTP, HTTPS, and fetch calls made during a request.

The SDK enables HTTP and Undici instrumentation and adds request/response details for captured outbound calls. Native http/https requests and Node’s fetch implementation can appear as child operations of the active request.

Open the parent request and inspect the http.client child span for duration, status, selected headers, and captured details. Calls made before preload or outside an active request may not be linked.

Use test endpoints and avoid sharing captured authorization or cookie values. Encryption protects configured fields at rest; it is not a replacement for access control.
