Database Operations
Locate supported database and cache operations inside request traces.
MongoDB, pg, mysql2, and ioredis are enabled by the SDK’s OpenTelemetry instrumentations. A query or command is visible only when the driver was loaded after devtools.start() and the operation runs within an active request context.
Diagnose a slow query
- Open the HTTP request with the slow response.
- Expand child database spans.
- Compare each operation’s duration with the parent handler.
- Open an error span to see status and exception details.
